    WordPress Reflection

    I have been very pleased with the updates to my website overall from this semester. I still have improvements I would like to make, but I like how easy it is to maneuver my website now.     According to our Dan Losota, “the usefulness of the PLE concept comes into play when people evaluate how they obtain, store, think about and share information.” Redoing my PLE allowed me to reflect on my the process of creating it the first time compared to the process of creating it the second.     Web Presence  The difficulty with defining web presence is because it is dependent on each individual user, their personal knowledge or skill level and overall use of the internet. A web presence is also going to be dependent on the context in which it is being used either commercially to reach customers for a business (website) or an individual (engaging in online activity).     Annotated Bibliography

    Annotated Bibliography  The first thing I realized is that it is very difficult for me to write in 100 words or less. I had to start by shortening all of my annotations. I appreciate more of an organized collaboration, but it worked well being able to access/edit work when it was convenient for my schedule.     Media Creation

    The audience for my media creation is my eleventh and twelfth-grade Psychology students. I began this assignment by creating a video in Adobe Spark using a powerpoint I use introducing WWII to my students. The purpose of the video was to give absent students the ability to access the information covered in class. The creation of my video on Adobe Spark was not terrible; however, I didn’t like that it kept zooming in on the video because I used screenshots of my original slides and added them into the video.     Emerging Tools

    Virtual reality devices can motivate students to participate as they are actively involved in their learning by taking part in the visual experience.  I often show clips, documentaries or movies in class to the students to allow them to experience history as they have the ability to visually see it. Adopting virtual reality devices in my classroom could transform this experience even further and actively engage the students. Pantelidis (2009) advocates that “virtual reality provides new forms and methods of visualization, drawing on the strengths of visual representations.
