    Grok and Korg

For my Grok and Korg I decided to focus on Digital Literacy. I was really interested to see what my fellow classmates had to say about the subject. Some quotes that from my classmates that really stuck with me: From Ben, ” Like digital citizenship, digital literacy is an umbrella statement that refers to an individuals ability to communicate and express their ideas on the internet through a variety of locations from many devices.” From Tracy, “This means that digital literacy means different things in different spheres of life, in different professions, and at different levels of technology. Digital skills are the “how to,” “what,” and “where.” Digital literacy is being…

    Get Productive

Adobe Spark! It all started when I decided to create an assignment for the Wing It (Engagement Edition). I was looking at what my classmates were using to complete assignments. One of the websites was Adobe Sparks. For another assignment for this class,  I used this website to create a video. I thought this website was really easy to use and I like how I can apply its use for when I need to lecture to my class or for class projects! I am excited to see what else I can create as I continue to use Adobe Spark to create videos!

    Wing It (Engagement Edition)

Task: Make up an assignment that requires engaging with the work of other Nousionauts. Activity: Search at least two fellow classmates websites and take notes on the different uses of media they use to complete assignments. For example, I like to make infographics to display information for assignments. I had never made an infographic before and learned about using piktochart from a fellow classmate. If you see something you’d like to use or learn how to use and you cannot figure out what it is, comment asking classmates what resources they use to make graphics, movies, presentations or etc. for the class! Goal: This activity allows you an opportunity to not only look at the…

    ADA Fire Away

ADA Fire Away Questions:  What happens if a school cannot provide the needed accommodations for the student? I think about how living in a semi-rural community of Kodiak and our sometimes limited resources. What type of free resources and technology are available to teachers that provide reasonable accommodations? With the sometimes limited resources, I am curious as to what other teachers are using currently or have used in the past! What are methods teacher use to get started in implementing the use of universal design in curriculum development?

    Weave It

Exploring Digital Citizenship and the Ideas of my Classmates I looked at three of my classmate’s ideas on Digital citizenship and recognized that two of my fellow classmates also highlighted the nine P’s to digital citizenship. With this class, I sometimes feel lost and wondering if I am finding the correct information or doing it “right” and this reassured me that all of us are finding the same ideas when searching the web about these topics. Reflecting on Melody’s Post about Digital Citizenship I really liked the core aspects of digital citizenship you established as safety, kindness, computer use as a tool and giving credit! I think these are really…
